Orly Cogan - Born in Jaffa Israel, lives and works in New York City. She was educated at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and The Maryland Institute College of Art. Cogan has had solo exhibitions at galleries such as Steven Wolf Fine Arts in San Fransisco, Carl Hammer Gallery in Chicago and Byron Cohen Gallery in Kansas City. She has participated in many group shows in New York galleries such as Caren Golden Fine Arts, LFL (Zack Feuer Gallery), Fiegan Contemporary, Lyons Wier Ortt Gallery, The Dorsk Space and Black and White Gallery to name a few. Cogan has been in several museum exhibitions, such as a site specific installation at The Jersey City Museum of Art, "Pricked, Extreme Embroidery" at The Museum of Arts and Design in NYC, The Riverside Museum in Cal, The Museum of Contemporary craft in Portland, Brattleboro Museum in RI, The Hudson River Museum in NY, The textile Museum of Canada in Toronto and an upcoming exhibition at The
Aldrich Museum in CT.
