DELIRIOUS merges theater with dance to create physically dynamic
and visually evocative works that explore the beauty and complexity of life. Under the direction of Edisa Weeks, DELIRIOUS seeks to bring dance to diverse audiences through performing in a variety of spaces ranging from storefront windows and swimming pools to galleries and proscenium stages.
DELIRIOUS is delighted to be performing Living Room Love at the Puffin Room. Through a series of elegant yet quirky dances choreographed by Edisa Weeks, Living Room Love delves into the many facets of love, from blind love, to controlling love, to being head over heals in love. The music is the romantic, simmering, sumptuous dance tunes of Mantovani and His Orchestra, the King of easy listening in the 1940's and 50's. The choreography responds to the romanticism with a contemporary edge that reveals the awkward, bumpy hurdles that come with falling in love or sustaining a loving relationship.
Coinciding with the performances is a photo exhibition featuring collaborations between Edisa Weeks and photographers George Larkins, Michael Manheim, Jaye R. Phillips, James Porto, and Mark Sadan.
